2019 is around the corner- is using more digital marketing part of your goals for the upcoming year?
I attended a Facebook community boost event here in Charlotte a few weeks ago. Much of the platform was about how to do effective advertising on Facebook and Instagram. Social media is now telling us we need to be seen, we must engage our audience. Actually, that is how we always were to market, by reaching more people on social platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.
So what does that look like?
Start by letting your audience see the real authentic you. Share moments in time to create a relationship/ a comfort level that they don’t just engage, but share your stories.
People love to be transported to another place or time. Being able to imagine themselves there. to have their emotions engaged.
Share stories get people interested in keeping up with you by seeing and reading what is going on in your business and personal lives. Share in a compiling message to draw people in by making your content relatable. By asking questions, you may be helping someone else or letting them know they are not alone in situations. This builds a trust factor. And as we know people buy from a person they relate to and feel comfortable with.
In doing this it gets your audience commenting, liking and sharing your content. This helps your area of influence.
Of course, images help drive your story. Photos are great, but video takes it to another level. We are seeing many videos in our feeds, in fact, it is reported by 2021 75% of the content will be in video.
